Working with The Women’s Centre Cornwall means joining a vibrant, friendly and ambitious community of women spread across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and HMP Eastwood Park.

We highly value lived experience and take a positive action approach in our recruitment. We welcome women who identify with having lived experience of sexual or domestic abuse or violence, the Criminal Justice System, as well as women with disabilities and women from Black, Asian and minoritized communities.

Many of our volunteers began their journey with us by accessing support services and many of our staff, including managers, worked for us initially as volunteers.

Our staff have access to:

  • In-depth induction training on issues including sexual and domestic abuse, trauma, safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • Further training opportunities on a wide range of topics related to violence against women and girls
  • Support around self-care and wellbeing and the opportunity for reflective practice, through regular one to one supervision

We are united by shared values and we regularly encourage staff to have their voices heard about how our organisation continues to grow.

Service Manager – Bridge Project

37hrs per week

Part based in Bodmin, hybrid working considered.

The Bridge Project South West delivers the Independent Sexual Violence Advisor Service across Devon and Cornwall for all adults and children who have reported, or are considering reporting sexual assault, rape or sexual abuse. The Bridge Project is a service of TWCC Projects Ltd which is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Women’s Centre Cornwall.

 

Having commenced the service on 1st October 2024, this is an exciting time to join the service. Working closely with the Head of Services, the Service Manager will lead the team of experienced staff to realise the innovative new vision for the service.

 

Key responsibilities of the role will be to ensure that all adults and children accessing The Bridge Project receive a high quality, trauma informed service that meets their needs and supports any engagement with the criminal justice process. The post holder will provide effective Contract Management, including responsibility for performance and reporting as well as line management for team leaders and other staff where appropriate, supporting dynamic caseload management and staff wellbeing.

Support Service Manager – TWCC

37hrs per week

Based in Bodmin

 

TWCC’s Specialist Sexual and Domestic Abuse service provides a wide range of responsive services to meet the needs of women and girls who have experienced abuse.

 

We are looking to appoint a Service Manager to oversee the continued development of our core services of one-to-one and groupwork specialist support, trauma stabilisation, helpline, peer support and online survivor’s forum Campfire. This will involve nurturing the team of Coordinators and Team Leaders to provide creative approaches to delivering best outcomes for survivors and working with the wider management team to identify and implement innovative solutions.

 

Ensuring accurate and timely data and outcomes collection across the services, the post-holder will ensure that the service develops in line with the current needs of women and girls as well as ensure the robust training provision and development of the staff and volunteer team, many of whom have lived experience.
