Support on sexual violence and sexual abuse
If you have been affected by any form of child sexual abuse, sexual assault or sexual violence including rape, sexual assault or sexual harassment at any time in your life we are here for you.

We offer empowering support to women living with the impact of sexual abuse or sexual violence through our Specialist Support Service (adult women) and Young Empowered Women’s Project (11-18 year olds).

We also offer an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor Service (the Bridge Project) to adults and children who have who have been sexually assaulted, abused or raped and would like help to decide whether to report what has happened to the police. Our Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) are specially trained and independent from the police and other services. We offer free support that is tailored to you. We will listen to you, believe you and put your wellbeing first.

Our Krefta Kernow service can support you if you are fleeing domestic abuse to access safe accommodation across Cornwall.
To access this service, women need to either be currently housed in Cornwall, or physically be in the county at the time of referral. We can support women to access accommodation either in Cornwall, or anywhere across the UK. We can support you if you have already made the decision to leave an abusive relationship, or if you are thinking about leaving.

You may be having different thoughts and emotions right now. You may be feeling confused or you may not be feeling anything at all.
We want you to know that all of your feelings are natural and that you are not to blame.
You have options about what happens next. You can take some time to think and make choices in your own time. We are here for you when you are ready.
If you have been sexually assaulted or raped within the last ten days, a local Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) can offer you medical and practical support.
You can also report domestic abuse, sexual abuse or violence that has happened at any time in your life.

If you are not quite sure what it is that you need right now, but that you might want to talk to someone, we are here for you. There are a few different ways you can contact us for support.


We know it takes courage to talk to someone about what has happened to you.
We appreciate that finding the words is sometimes difficult and you might not know what to say. We will be there for you in that moment and you have complete control over what you say and share with us.
You can call our Helpline on 01208 77099 on Monday to Friday 10am – 1pm and Monday evenings from 6pm – 9pm. The woman who answers your call will listen to you, believe you and accept you just as you are. If we can’t support you in the way you need, we will help find someone who can.

We offer empowering support to women in Cornwall affected by child sexual abuse, rape or any other form of sexual violence for up to 20 sessions. Women can access our support either online, over the phone or in person.

Due to a high need for our services, we currently have a waiting list of several months between your initial assessment and the start of your support.
During this time, we will contact you regularly and can signpost you to other services if needed, as well as offer access to our Helpline, online Campfire forum and the Sorella project whilst you are waiting for support to begin.
