How to take action? Where can I start?
Monday 15th March 2021
We have all absorbed a lot over the last week and you may naturally be feeling a huge range of emotions.
If you are left feeling like you want to take action but aren't sure where to start, here are four things you can do in your own time.
1. Fill out the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Call for Evidence - they are 'collecting views from those with lived experience of, or views on, crimes considered as violence against women and girls'. Your views will help inform the development of the government’s next Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy.
2. Sign the petition to make street harassment a criminal offence in the UK - https://www.change.org/.../make-public-sexual-harassment...
3. Sign the petition to make misogyny a hate crime - https://action.greenparty.org.uk/make-misogyny-a-hate-crime
4. Take care of yourselves, take breaks from the news and social media.
Practice self-care and reach out for support if you need it.
