Calling all Home Heroes! Please join #TeamTWCC for the #TwoPointSixChallenge

Join the Women’s Centre Cornwall and the rest of the nation in the 2.6 Challenge - do your bit and help save the UK’s charities.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic billions of fundraising income has been lost from UK charities, including the millions raised by high profile events such as the London Marathon. This has had a devastating effect on the charity sector- leaving many charities struggling to survive.

Organisers of the biggest mass-participation sports events across the country have come together to create a new campaign to raise vital funds and help save the UK's charities - The 2.6 Challenge.

We are delighted to be part of the campaign and would love you to join #TeamTWCC to take on the 2.6 Challenge and raise money The Women’s Centre Cornwall.

The 2.6 Challenge will take place on Sunday 26 April 2020 (what should have been the day of the London Marathon) and will involve people of all ages and abilities taking on the challenge with a host of activities based around the numbers 2.6 and 26.

All you need to do is

1. Dream up a 2.6 challenge – it can be anything!! You don’t need to be a marathon runner -it’s a challenge for all ages and abilities. Here is a link that might help inspire you

2. Head to our link: Just Giving fundraising page to donate £26 – or whatever you can afford – to the Women's Centre or to set up a fundraising page.

3. Ask all your friends and family to sponsor you and challenge them to do their own 2.6 Challenge.

4. Complete your challenge.

5. Don’t forget to help us to inspire the nation by sharing what you do on social media using the hashtags

and tag @WomensCCornwall (Twitter) @Women’sCentreCornwall (Facebook) to be part of the campaign.

Thank you for helping to Save the UK’s Charities. We hope you will get involved and join us on the 26th April.

All monies raised will go toward continuing to support women and girls in our community. No matter how big or small, it is all really appreciated.
